Sunday School – June / The way forward

06/06/2021 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

Further to our email of 13th May regarding our intention to hold a community discussion after Sunday school on 6th June, we have received a few queries from some members requesting more details on what the topics would be.

A) As it is the 50th Anniversary of our  AZA we wish to VERY briefly recount the achievements of our past elders and how we have managed to get to the position we are in today with the approval and love our small community enjoys among our neighbours and other communities.

B) Not wishing to be complacent and rest on our laurels, we feel that there are a few potential issues and problems that we need to address so as to keep our success going and to secure the future of AZA for successive generations – issues related to our governance and management processes that expose the community and its officers to a number of risks.

C) A small group of our community members has done an in-depth research of FACTS (NOT OPINIONS or CONJECTURE) which we would like the community to listen to and decide upon.

D) In order to facilitate this decision, we (your Management Committee) thought that we would establish an independent and unbiased group of individuals to investigate this and then report back to the community and seek their feedback.

To make the event even more interesting, we have organized some tantalizing, mouth-watering street food which can be purchased at a very reasonable price – Pani puri, bhel puri, dahi bata puri and authentic Indian snacks and sweets.

If anyone would like to set up a table (free of charge), to sell any of your delicacies – Vasanu, Batasas, Pickles, paneer, bhakhras, cakes, etc. we would be happy to accommodate you.

We urge you to turn up in large numbers to listen to the presentation, enjoy the open day and form your own judgements and make up your minds.

The stalls will be open after 11.30 am and the discussion will start at 1 pm sharp.

RSVP though not compulsory would help to organize the event and give some idea in regards to catering to our stall holders.
