Muktad Prayers at AZA Darbe Meher
Start on 6th August 2023
A team of our Mobeds will be reciting the Muktad Prayers at AZA Darbe Meher on 6 out of 10 Muktad days in August this year.
Muktad prayers will start at 9.30am each day.
Mithi has requested that all flower vases be left at AZA Darbe Meher or at her place before 6th August as it takes around 2 hours to set up the vases and roses and she will be going to the AZA with a few helpers on Saturday to complete this task.
All Zoroastrians and their families – AZA members and non-members – who wish to have names of their departed relatives recited in the Muktad prayers, are requested to submit the name of each departed relative to Mithi Daver by email (mithidaver@gmail.com) or call her on 0414470410 before 4th August. We have received only 20 names thus far.
1. A charge of $50 will be levied for up to two departed relatives’ names and $100 for a maximum of up to 6 names. All proceeds (after expenses for fruits and nuts) will be donated to AZA.
2. If you would like Mithi to organise flowers for your vase/s, there will be an additional charge of $20. Alternatively, you can prepare your own vase with flowers, and have this ready by 9 AM on 6th August.
3. Arrange to pay Mithi in cash for the prayers and for flowers on or before the first day of prayers i.e. Sunday August 6. If you are unable to give cash to Mithi, you can deposit the amount in the AZA Main Account NAB; BSB: 082-514 ACC: 44-227-4084. Please advise Mithi and the AZA Committee by email after you have paid into the account.
